Determining if someone has medications or drugs in their system is straight forward, but determining if they can perform their job safely has been challenging, until now.
The Workplace Impairment Test (WIT) provides a standardized approach to testing for impairment in the workplace based on the tests used by Drug Recognition Experts (DREs). We use divided attention psychophysical tests to determine, in real time, if someone is impaired.
The Workplace impairment test (The WIT) is comprised of 4 divided attention psychophysical tests. They include, Walk and Turn, One Leg Stand, Romberg’s Test, and Finger to Nose Test. The WIT also observes eye functioning with the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus Test and Lack of Convergence Testing.
The WIT is a tablet based app, that is exceptionally user friendly. It starts with general questions to determine if the subject is in need of medical attention. The WIT continues with the psychophysical and eye tests. The examiner will use check boxes to score the performance on the tests, and our proprietary algorithm will determine if the subject is “likely impaired, “not likely impaired”, or “unsure, further testing suggested”.
The WIT can be utilized in different settings to provide your company with information regarding true impairment. Some companies use the WIT for:

There are 2 options available for your company to use the WIT.
You can have a representative from your company attend a 2 day seminar. Upon completion, your employee will become “WIT certified” and have the ability to use the WIT for all of your testing needs. Access to using the WIT app will be available for a nominal monthly fee. The price is dependent on the number of employees at that workplace/site.
You can have your employees tested using the WIT at a collection site. This is dependent upon the availability of a WIT certified collector. With this option, there is a fee charged for every test that is administered.
